Description

AIP member companies, individually, and collectively through the Institute, share the general community concern for conservation of the environment and actively seek to protect air, water and soil from contamination through their operations and through communication with Governments and local communities.

AIP and its member companies are aware that incidents in production, transportation and consumption of crude oil and its products may lead to pollution of the environment. The industry treats all materials with utmost care, going well beyond mere compliance with existing regulations and standards to stand at the leading edge of safety and environmental management in Australia.

Through AIP, the industry assists Governments and regulatory authorities in the formulation of new policies and reviews of existing standards.
