WORK CLEARANCE
The Australian Institute of Petroleum has a program of Work Clearance Training for contractors involved in work on service station sites. The purpose of the Work Clearance Training program is to ensure that contractor representatives are aware of the health, safety and environment requirements associated with work on service station sites. The Work Clearance procedure aims to ensure that non-routine work at service stations is carried out in a safe manner. The system is based on a self issue work clearance. The clearance allows work to be carried out after compliance with a number of preset conditions. The Work Clearance Training course is intended to educate contractor representatives in the use of the system and provide a framework for educating their staff in the use of the system. The course should also impart to the participants the need to ensure they comply with safety requirements and any legal obligations. The AIP Work Clearance Training program consists of a one-day course for maintenance and minor works contractors carrying out work on service station sites. The course is conducted nationally at a range of locations. Contractor representatives will be expected to repeat the accreditation process two years after completing the initial Work Clearance Training course. Optimum Compliance delivers the Work Clearance Training courses on behalf of AIP. Contractors are able to enrol on a Work Clearance Training course by applying direct to Optimum Compliance. The training schedule is coordinated through the Brisbane office of Optimum. Contact Details Optimum Compliance can be contacted as follows
